Who am I? from Vergiate to Milan I grew up in a peaceful, green place, called Cascina Mirasole in Vergiate, where I still live. The window of the room I had when I was a child opened on fields and woods. Now I live in a different house, but I didn't go too far and the landscape is as magic as it was at that time. Since my first years my curiosity forced my family to deal with a lot of interests and related need: I attended courses of drawing, painting and music. I would have liked to do a lot of jobs: the researcher, the conductor, the nuclear engineer... At the end I believed that the right job was building up bridges, but the high school showed me a different way. After my school leaving certificate I matriculate at Humanities: I wanted to follow my passion for Dante and the Middle Ages. I was very tired of living in periphery too, so I moved to Milan, where I lived for four years in a student hostel. Coming back (but not leaving completely Milan) I couldn't imagine what will happen. At the University I discovered the Latin Literature of the Middle and I graduated in this subject. The work I did while writing my dissertation was so exciting that I decided to go on. So, four years later I took my Ph.D. in Humanistic Literature. My first researches were appreciated by my teachers and colleagues: thanks to their help and their advices I wrote my first publications. In the meanwhile I felt stronger and stronger the desire of coming back to my amusements. I started again to play piano, I took again the brushes in my hands and I decided to share it with you. |
